The Difference is a 5 piece metal band hailing from the "Meetjesland" area in Belgium (Flanders). The bands musical style is a unique blend of progressive and melodic metal with passionate and powerful vocals. It is really hard to define the music of The Difference but we like to call it "Different Metal". Feel free to navigate in the menu, where you can find more information.
We finished our newest album “When light uncovers grey” in which we have experimented in different ways. In order for you to hear the quality of the music, you can download a song for free on our homepage. This track “Time” from our 4th demo has been recorded for the second time and is not on the “When light uncovers grey” album.

New drummer
We are very proud to announce that our first drummer returned to the band. His name is Kristof Ingels and he recorded the first 3 demo´s of The Difference.
After we told our previous drummer to leave we invited Kristof for a try-out. Everybody was very enthousiastic after the first try-out and is looking forward to make new stuff with Kristof.

The Difference would like to thank all those who made it possible to make our music video. Especially the people from Framecat (Kristien en Dimitri) for doing an amazing job.Also lots of thanks to Andy for being our private photographer and many other things. First things first, best wishes for 2011.
We have already some nice things to look forward into 2011. At the moment we have confirmed 4 gigs (3 festivals) and our videoclip of “The Awakening” will be released in 2 months.
